El eco de un espacio conforma la mirada sobre el cuerpo. El desdoblamiento propio del sonido que emana hacia múltiples direcciones y, en su multiplicidad de reflejos, reconfiguran su identidad en el acto de escucha.
BODIES IN RESONANCE
The echo of a space shapes the gaze on the body. The doubling of sound that emanates in multiple directions and, in its multiplicity of reflections, reconfigures its identity in the act of listening.
Así como el sonido se percibe como un eco en los otros, la imagen, reflejo de la luz, construye una espacialidad habitada por el cuerpo. Ese cuerpo, que reducido a una unidad mínima de sentido, se multiplica en resonancia con lo otro, redefiniendo el espacio propio.
Just as sound is perceived as an echo in others, the image, a reflection of light, builds a spatiality inhabited by the body. That body, reduced to a minimum unit of meaning, multiplies in resonance with the other, redefining one's own space.
“Teoría del anhelo” forma parte de la serie “Formas de interpretar el viento”. Campos magnéticos y movimiento de fluidos interactúan entre sí conformando un laboratorio de mediaciones. El aire, bajo el agua, organiza la temporalidad de la música. Teoría del Anhelo propone al oyente ubicar su escucha en el punto exacto de contacto entre el agua y el aire. Ahí, donde nacen las traducciones.
"Theory of longing" is part of the series "Ways to interpret the wind." Magnetic fields and fluid movement interact with each other, forming a mediation laboratory. The air, under the water, organizes the temporality of the music. Theory of Longing proposes the listener to place his listening at the exact point of contact between water and air. There, where translations are born.
